What to Bring
FOR YOUR OWN TAX RETURN
- All valid forms of identification for taxpayer, spouse and dependents
- All social security cards for taxpayer, spouse and dependents
- All birth certificates for taxpayer, spouse and dependents
- All applicable W2 forms
- All applicable Social Security statements
- All applicable 1099 forms
- All applicable documents for Earned Income Tax Credit purposes such as utility bills, lease agreements, etc.
- All applicable bank tax documents. Including the bank routing number to use for tax refunds
- All applicable mortgage interest statements
- All applicable property tax information for houses and other property owned
- All daycare information including name of provider, address, tax identification number or social security number if its an individual
- Stock sale documents
- Profit and Loss Statement (if you are a business owner)
- For all new clients, please bring a copy of last year’s tax return
FOR SOMEONE ELSE’S TAX RETURN or “DROP OFFS”
- All valid forms of identification for taxpayer, spouse and dependents if applicable
- All social security cards for taxpayer, spouse and dependents if applicable
- All tax documents listed above
- Phone availability: The person whose tax we will be working on needs to be reachable by phone during the appointment
- Fax availability: The person whose tax we will be working on needs to have access to a fax machine so that they can sign paperwork and fax it back to our office
- For all new clients, please bring a copy of last year’s tax return
FOR A CORPORATE TAX RETURN
- Bank statements
- Profit and Loss Statement
- Balance Sheet statement
- EIN Number
- Indication of corporation type: S Corp, Regular Corp, LLC, etc.
- For all new corporations, we will need a copy of last year’s corporate tax return
